XTV stands for Extreme Temperature Version, reflecting the series' ability to operate across a broad temperature range from -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F).

Combining Pure Lead construction, an innovative plate structure, specialized lead paste, and maintenance-free AGM technology, CSB XTV batteries are designed to provide dependable standby power in harsh environments where conventional general-purpose batteries may experience accelerated aging.

In a float application, the battery remains connected to a charger and fully charged during normal operation.
