Battery Testing & Load Banking

Wholesale Batteries is a full line battery supplier with over 40-years of experience servicing batteries. Part of our service is testing batteries. Our testing capabilities apply to all types and chemistries of batteries no matter the size.

Cylindrical / Prismatic Cells / Polymer Battery Packs (50mAh – 100Ah):  One of our specialties is building custom battery packs that power an array of electronic devices. Our custom build shop has extensive capabilities to test Li-Ion, Nickel Cadmium (Ni-CD), & Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), battery packs. Our team uses the latest technology providing services to auto exercise and recondition, charge, prime and extended priming as well as boost charging to activate seemingly dead batteries. Rapid Ohms and impedance testing is available. Custom advanced battery testing, analyzation, reconditioning, life cycle testing, cell balancing monitoring, and capture load signatures to meet advanced requirements is available.

Battery Capacity & Acceptance Testing  In addition to our Preventative Maintenence services, Wholesale Batteries offers battery capacity and acceptance testing to prove capacity on new install or interval service life testing. Battery capacity testing is essential to identify potential issues proving the integrity of the battery string. Our team is experienced capacity testing battery strings for many applications to include substation, switchgear, telecommunications, and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). All testing is performed under IEEE, NERC and battery manufacturers specifications.

Battery Monitoring: When performing battery capacity or acceptance testing one of the greatest advantages is recording the discharge. We utilize technology that will monitor and record each second of the discharge at the cell level. More importantly, having this data recorded provides baseline measurements, recorded performance history, and documentation should there be a warranty event.

Thermal Imaging: Identify potential problems of your battery system before they compromise the system. Conducting IR imaging of your battery system while under a load can help identify loose connections, worn components, poor cable terminal crimps, among other items. This service is offered in conjunction with capacity and acceptance testing services.

Speak with one of our representatives to learn more about the benefits of testing your battery system. Remember, the only way to determine the true performance of your batteries is by conducting an acceptance test, performance test, or service test.
